Prayer and Fasting is one of the most “love/hate” relationship types of spiritual disciplines out there. The “flesh” or the physical hunger part of us hates it. But the spirit, or the spiritual hunger part of us, CRAVES & LOVES it.
That’s exactly why it’s called a “SPIRITUAL DISCIPLINE”.
Just like anything else that brings valuable transformation in this life, you have to DISCIPLINE yourself to do it if you want to experience the transformation.
PRAYER AND FASTING is not just good for you physically. We’re not just trying to get benefits in our bodies, although that’s great. PRAYER AND FASTING is WAAAYAYYYYYYYYY more about connecting with God, craving Him, spending time with Him, and making the space to do that.
